Welcome to South Brunswick, New Jersey. In South Brunswick Township, you'll find beautiful homes, exciting business opportunities, and incredible ease of access to all the best that New Jersey has to offer.
A Brief History
South Brunswick Township was officially incorporated in 1798, as one of New Jersey's original 104 townships. In 1872, land was taken from South Brunswick to form part of neighboring Cranbury Township, and more land was designated in 1904 to Plainsboro Township. Smaller now, South Brunswick still encompasses a generous parcel of land (41.1 square miles) and includes several unincorporated communities: Monmouth Junction, Kendall Park, Kingston, Dayton, Heathcote, and Deans. Each of these neighborhoods has its own unique flavor, and contributes to the diversity of South Brunswick. A professional South Brunswick, NJ seller's agent can help you choose which of these communities is best to focus your real estate search, and can introduce you to the individual properties and buyers they represent.
South Brunswick remained mainly rural until the 1950s, with an economy firmly rooted in agriculture. However with the opening of the New Jersey Turnpike on the eastern end of the Township, South Brunswick began to experience major industrial growth, especially in the areas immediately adjacent to the Turnpike. Population growth occurred in tandem, and has exploded in the last 25 years. In 1980, the population of South Brunswick was about 18,000. Today, it is rapidly approaching 40,000, and shows no signs of slowing. Most appealing to those seeking real estate in the area is the township's proximity to the New Jersey Turnpike, the railway lines connecting the area to New York and Philadelphia, and the presence of many national and international corporations in the area. Princeton University also has a significant effect on the economy of the area.

Highly sought-after communities outside of Kingston include The Grande at Monmouth Junction and Gramercy Estates, where buyers will find appealing luxury homes in perfectly manicured and peaceful surroundings.
